Troop 876 is very fortunate to have been selected for one Philmont Trek in 2010.   The dates are June 23 (depart DFW) – July 5, 2010 (arrive DFW)

This will be another wonderful opportunity for our scouts and parents to enjoy one of the top rated experiences in Scouting.   Only 12 can go on a trek and at least two of these must be adults.    Scouts must be at least 14 by January 1, 2010 to participate and in good standing with the troop.   If you are interested you will need to contact Bill Luisi atwaluisi@verizon.net or by phone at 972-839-2249.   A commitment involves immediate payment of a deposit of $50, and installment payments according to the following schedule.    

$350 – August 31, 2009

$350 – January 18, 2010

$160 – April 19, 2010

This amount, totaling $910, covers travel to and from Philmont and the fee for the trek.   It does not cover personal expenses for equipment and incidentals.
